Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure corrective actions from incident reports are completed.
- Audit project documents to check if they follow QA/QC standards.
- Organize and maintain quality-related project files and records.
- Prepare quality plans (ITPs, PQPs) and help with material costing for bids when needed.
- Check delivery checklists to make sure materials meet required specifications.
- Review and approve materials, including certificates and quality documents from suppliers.
- Ensure site inspections follow approved methods and quality standards.
- Check project quality plans to confirm materials meet all specs and acceptance criteria.
- Investigate quality issues and recommend improvements.
- Visit quarries to inspect and test materials for project use.
- Lead internal training or webinars on QA/QC topics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or in Quality Management or other relevant technical fields.
- Licensed Civil Engineer is a strong advantage.
- Professional certifications in quality standards (preferred but not mandatory), such as:
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) / Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) – ASQ
- Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
- Materials Engineer Certification is a strong advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in QA/QC, ideally in construction or a related industry.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Hands-on experience with construction quality standards, project audits, documentation, and materials inspection.
